With a dreamy, atmospheric sound akin to acts like Lorde and Lykke Li, Diana Ebe's music is inspired by daydreams, lust and love. Her music has already caught the attention of notable taste makers and legendary artists, including Robby Krieger of The Doors.
The EP's title track and first single, "Elusive Pleasure", is about waking up to the reality that your relationship is no longer working out. The song is beautiful, with a chorus that will stick with you immediately. Another song on the EP that stands out, is "Chasing," with a stirring hook showcasing Ms. Ebe's pop sensibility.
Diana Ebe was raised in Stockholm, Sweden, home to some of the top worldwide artists in popular music from the 1970's to today, including ABBA, Roxette, Europe, Ace of Base, The Cardigans, Robyn, Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Icona Pop, and Tove Lo, plus of course Max Martin, the most successful pop music producer and songwriter worldwide for almost two decades.
Diana took to music at a young age and began taking piano lessons at the age of four. Soon after came voice lessons, and at the age of fourteen, she was trained classically under the esteemed Swedish musical theater performer and producer, Andreas Eldeen.
In 2013, Diana moved across the Atlantic, and across the United States, to arrive in Los Angeles, where she naturally fell into pursuing music seriously as a full-time musician and student at Musician's Institute. Shortly after relocating to Southern California, Diana wrote her first single "Elusive Pleasure." She has been writing and recording new music ever since.
In today's world of songwriting collaborations, with the number of writers on a pop song often exceeding five or even ten, Diana's debut EP is very impressive in the sense that she wrote every single song by herself (except for "Twice"). The songs were recorded at Cold Pressed Studios and produced by MOOSE, Diana Ebe and Lucas Bomeny (with Bomeny also being the Executive Producer).
With a haunting sense of mystery in her cinematic approach to pop, Diana Ebe proves that she is a new musical force to be reckoned with.
