On this Earth Day, the song "Too Much Heaven" by The Bee Gees, and co-produced by Albhy Galuten and Karl Richardson, is our way of reminding us all that we have one planet, and one planet only. The song was performed at the Music For UNICEF concert in 1979.
The Bee Gees donated their publishing royalties for the song to UNICEF to celebrate the International Year of the Child, an unprecedented move by any songwriter or artist. More than $7 million (over $24 million in 2015 dollars) were donated through record sales of this beautiful single. President Jimmy Carter invited The Bee Gees to the White House to thank them personally for their outstanding generosity.
