Coming from the small town South Shields in Northern England (almost 5 miles downstream from Newcastle), Sermstyle gained music industry attention through social media. By using Twitter, he achieved his first placement with Young Buck in 2010. Sermstyle continued to land more records with artists including Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Kid Ink and many more.

Building on his urban background, Sermstyle began to shift his focus to popular music by placing a record with Wisin & Yandel on their number 1 Latin Grammy-nominated album 'Lideres.'

In 2013, Sermstyle signed with Mike Caren's Artist Publishing Group.

Sermstyle co-wrote and produced Pitbull’s Billboard number 1 megahit “Timber” ft. Ke$ha.  Sermstyle received an ASCAP Pop Music Award for "Timber" at the 32nd Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards.

Sermstyle also produced the number 1 UK urban record "How I Feel" by Flo Rida.

In 2015, he produced the theme song for the Furious 7 soundtrack, “Ride Out”, performed by Kid Ink, Tyga, YG, Wale, and Rich Homie Quan, and the 'Furious 7' original soundtrack album went to number 1 on the Billboard album chart.

Sermstyle also co-wrote and produced the single "I Don't Like It, I Love It" by Flo Rida ft. Robin Thicke & Verdine White.

Recently, he has cuts with Capital Cities ("Vowels") and the Sean Paul/Dua Lipa hit single "No Lie."
